Wow, what a great guy.
Beth looked great, and I thought for a minute she wouldn't get a word in! 
I couldn't believe as I was watching this week's AMCs tonight that they had commercials after the shows for Friday's View and were promoting Hugh Jackman instead of Beth and JR! Jeez, they could have at least throw in a voice over saying "and All My Children's Beth Ehlers and JR Martinez"

Jen, I wondered if Beth would get a word in too! JR was just right at home with all of the ladies of The View. I have to say when they first came out, Beth
looked a tad nervous, but then it occurred to me that I would probably be a little nervous if I was about to face the ladies of The View!
Someone said this on another board and I admired it myself how Beth never said anything while JR was talking and let the spotlight be on him b/c she knows the main focus was on him. She didn't say anything until she was addressed and then had nothing but great things to say about JR. You could tell that they have a genuine affection for each other and have gotten to be good friends. The funniest part was Joy saying that Brot Munroe sounded like a porn name! JR just loved that she said that! And then Beth added that Taylor Thompson sounded like a weather girl. That had never occurred to me till Beth said it, but its true! LOL!

I think Beth was more than happy to let JR have the spotlight. She's never been one to seek publicity and he's an amazing man off-camera, one who can
possibly reach a non-soap audience and get them to watch something they might ordinarily ignore. Very interesting that he was the first to read and made an
impression from the get go. They certainly made the right choice, IMO. He's getting better by leaps and bounds and he's a charismatic, articulate, and
confident guy.
It was very funny when they were joking about Brot being a porn name, and JR offering to make that his next career if AMC doesn't work out, LOL. And Taylor Thompson does sound like a weather girl, LOL. |
